Description

The 614CH fire detector provides very early warning of slow smouldering fires. The CO fire detector is well suited to many applications where heat detection is insufficient but smoke detection causes unwanted alarms. As CO travels more freely than smoke, the positioning of CO fire detectors is more flexible.

This feature is particularly useful in large complex structures such as atria and warehouses, where positioning of smoke detectors is difficult. The 614CH has an additional mode of operation as a Class A1R combined rate-of-rise and 60°C fixed temperature heat detector to supplement the CO detector mode to permit the detector to react to a wider range of fire types.

Although the 614CH has a rated service life of 10 years, in orderc for the 614CH to provide the intended level of fire detection, the detector should be checked for calibration 5 years after installation (or 5 years after re-installation following service) or within 7 years of the date of manufacture.
